We finally did it!

TV cable will be reduced to the basic channels come Tuesday.
A savings of nearly $40.00 per month.

I have been pondering this for weeks and finally
did the deed yesterday.

It is my belief that there is truly life beyond nonstop reruns
of "Full House", "Family Matters" and the like. I will be
a better person for not even having to look at "Flava of Love"
and "Charm School" as I surf.

My biggest sacrifice will be no more Fox New s Channel to which I am
admittedly addicted.

In all honestly it should not be much of a hardship
as we didn't actually watch all that much tube.

What could be in the future? Reading more books?
Craft projects? Board Games? I will keep you posted!

  1. Good for you! We plan to do the same after out package deal runs out. As much as I will pine for "Flava of Love" (not), we can manage.

After 911, we cancelled cable for about 1.5 years. Just could NOT watch the towers come down one more time.

My marriage was closer, we read more, we ate meals together and... we got cable back. ;) So life goes.

  2. No Fox News, next you'll be giving up talk radio!
